Request a Tour of our Facilities

At TFC Recycling, we are very proud of our Material Recovery Facility or MRF (pronounced Merf) and love the opportunity to speak with groups and individuals about how recycling makes a difference in our community and for our planet.

Community organizations, high school, college students, businesses, and individuals are welcome to take a walking tour of the TFC Recycling’s MRF. Our tours begin with an overview of who TFC Recycling is, from our simple, humble beginnings to our state-of-the-art facility. While in our Educational Room, you will get a better understanding of what can and cannot be recycled. Our guests are then guided through our plant to watch as recyclables are received, sorted and baled.

Before scheduling your tour, please read this important information:

• Tours take place during the work week only
• Tours are during normal business hours
• Tours last approximately 90 minutes
• Tours are free of charge
• Tours are only available to individuals ages 18 years and older
• Tours are conducted year round, weather permitting
• Tour participants will have to climb several series of stairs
• As a safety precaution, all tour participants must wear closed toe shoes and provided safety vest, glasses and hardhat
• TFC Recycling reserves the right to cancel tours due to inclement weather or as a safety precaution.

Our children are our best recyclers! For groups with children under the age of 18, we can give an overview of our plant operations through our live video feed along with educational videos and materials.
