Glass Frequently Asked Questions
Glass containers and bottles are 1OO% recyclable and can be endlessly recycled without losing purity or quality. Your glass containers and bottles can be placed in your recycle bin; however, we ask that you quickly rinse out any materials or liquid before placing items in your bin.
Can I place broken glass bottles in the recycling bin? |
No. Broken glass is very dangerous to the people who must handle it at the recycling center. Please help us in protecting their safety by disposing of broken glass in the trash.

Why can't I recycle drinking glass, window glass, light bulbs or glass baking dishes? |
The combination of ingredients used to make glassware is different from what goes in into container glass for bottles and jars. If these two types of glass are recycled together, the resulting glass will not be suitable for container glass. In fact, glassware, ceramics, windowpanes or mirrors can pose a threat to equipment and especially to our employees in our recycling plant.
