MAY EVENTS

 

When: Saturday, May 18th - 10am - 2pm

Where: 5200 Hampton Blvd - Norfolk, VA

Goodwill, TFC Recycling, and Keep Norfolk Beautiful will be accepting the following items for recycling:

  • Personal computers and laptops
  • Printers
  • Monitors and flat screens
  • Telephones, cell phones, and PDAs
  • Fax Machines
  • Circuit boards and components
  • Stereo equipment and game systems
  • Televisions*
  • *Televisions are being accepted by the City of Norfolk for Norfolk residents only. Proof of address required. Proof can include driver’s license, HRUBS bill, Virginia Natural Gas or Dominion Power Bill (w/ ID).
Also being accepted:
  • Clothing
  • Plastic Shopping Bags**
  • Household Recyclables (cardboard, newspaper, plastic bottles (#1 & #2), tin cans, aluminum cans)
**Free reusable tote to the first 200 residents who bring 10 plastic shopping bags to this event!

Chesapeake Jubliee - Chesapeake

When: Saturday, May 16th & 19th 

Where: Chesapeake City Park - Chesapeake, VA

TFC Recycling is a proud sponsor of the 2013 Chesapeake Jubliee! Join us in celebrating the 30th year of this wonderful evet and the 50th anniversary of the City of Chesapeake! The Jubilee kicks off on Thursday, May 16th and goes until the 19th. This years event is sure to be nothing short of spectaular, Musical guests include local sensation Butter, The Wailers, The Romantics and country superstars Montgomery Gentry.
 

 

 

When: Saturday, May 18th & 19th - 2pm - 6pm

Where: Town Point Park - Norfolk, VA

For the 12th year, the Virginia Beer Festival celebrates the art of beer with a bounty of brews from across the state, the country, and around the world. With over 65 breweries on site, festival goers will have access to over 100 beers to sample along Norfolk's beautiful waterfront. Beer connoisseurs can enhance their beer knowledge while listening to our Brewmaster Seminars throughout the day from Craft experts or visiting Homebrew USA to learn how to brew their very own batch! Patrons can enjoy live music from Celtic favorites Glasgow Kiss on Saturday and the beer inspired songs of the Esoteric Ramblers on Sunday. TFC Recycling is a proud sponsor of all events hosted by Festevents at Town Point Park.

 

 
 

Sensible Seafood - Virginia Beach

When: Thursday, May 23rd - 7-10pm 

Where: Virginia Aquarium - Virginia Beach, VA

Enjoy a fun and flavorful adults-only feast with friends and foodies at theVirginia Aquarium. Sample foods from Sensible Seafood restaurant partners and learn about regional efforts focused on restoration, sustainability, and environmental stewardship.
